booking your appointment you will be asked to give some details of the
nature of your problem and will be offered a Telephone or Face to Face
All consultations with Doctors or Nurses are by appointment only. Please either arrange at reception, by telephoning the surgery on 01305 832203, or via System Online. We will offer you an appointment with your named Doctor.
Please help our Receptionists and Doctors by asking for the
correct appointment. If your problem is urgent you will be
offered an appointment on that day.
If you have more than one problem you would like to discuss, please ask for a longer appointment.
You can book appointments with your Doctor or Nurse Practitioner up to 4 weeks in advance. We also cater for appointments required at short notice.
Routine appointments with the Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant or Phlebotomist can also be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
How to Make the Most of Your Appointment
Doctors appointments are 10 minutes long. Within this time they call
you in or telephone you, listen, examine, diagnose, propose treatment
or referral and then enter this information on your medical record.

Improved Access to General Practice Service (IAGPS)
Extended Access Appointments:
The Clinical Commissioning Group have been working to improve access to appointments for patients, in particular, at evenings and weekends.
The new IAGPS has been rolled out in Weymouth and will be based at Weymouth Community Hospital. It will be staffed by local GPs, nurse practitioners, practice nurses and health care assistants, providing a mixuture of primary care appointments.
the aim of the service is to provide extra primary care appointments for the locality, outside core practice hours, i.e. some weekday evenings and weekends.
If you would like to be offered one of these appointments, please ask at the surgery.
Please Help Us
If you are delayed or cannot attend your appointment please contact the Surgery as soon as possible to cancel. The appointment can then be offered to somebody else. We have a great demand for appointments and offer over 1800 each week – every appointment is precious and should not be wasted.
Please try to come to the Surgery for your appointment. If you have no transport, perhaps you could ask a friend, or use a bus or taxi.
When you arrive at the Surgery, check in at reception or use our automated check-in screen. The Doctor will call you in.
